Alegbra II Course Description

Prerequisite:  Successful completion of Geometry.

The major emphasis in Algebra II is on algebraic forms, linear and quadratic expressions, powers and roots and functions.  Absolute value, piecewise and other special functions to model real world situations is a major theme.  Geometric ideas are utilized throughout, and graphing is emphasized to take advantage of students’ geometric intuition.  Operations on functions, including composition of functions, inverse functions and relations, and logarithms are introduced to students.
